Drowned Rats and Lazy Cats and the Seasons Close.
Well folks that’s it for another season as 2008 draws to a close.We have had an interesting year with a 1-0 defeat to the weather; I never knew we could have so much rain. Someone pinch me when the summer of 2008 turns up please!
When all said and done however we have had a pretty good year all told. Some High’s and Lows of 2008:- Highs:- ·Turning into Navy Seals in Bolton on OP Apache Snow? ·RecondoSchool, Parts I, II & III and our eventual honor Graduate SP4 Clarke. ·Detling 2008 ·Our new show – Event Plans “Blast from the Past” ·New Recruits and Friendships. Lows:- ·End of an Era with the departure from the group of two good friends LT Chris Gordon & Cpl Rick Baker. ·Being socked in with the weather. Moving forward we still have some small events yet to finalize to finally put 2008 to a rest with the impending (yet to be confirmed) photo shoots and this years AGM. I look forward to seeing you there. Tiger_Dog Out!
Many thanks to those of you who braved the weather for Recondo III. We have not been very fortunate this year with the weather. But never the less we always seem to have a good time.
All your votes are in and we have had a clear winner for the 2008 Honour Graduate. We are pleased to announce that the James "Limey" Walker award gose to Sp4 R Clarke. The presentation of which was made at the Detling Show. Congratulation to Rob on the award and a huge thankyou for all you efforts this year.
Detling 2008 has now passed and we are very pleased with the effort put in by everyone at the show and we have already secured a firm invite for next year.
